And Yet

You cradled my face in your hands
Looked deep into my eyes and kissed me
Like you missed me
And I sighed into you

You slid your hands around my waist
Gently pulling me closer and kissed me
Like you wanted me
And I moved into you

You held my hands and stroked my hair
As we lay together and kissed me
Like we were lovers
And I held you

And yet
And yet
And yet

With every sigh
With every step
With every embrace

Behind each glance
Behind each embrace
Behind each kiss

Lies the word “like”
