Moments in Time

The quick rush when our eyes meet
And we see mutual desire
And somehow
Your hand is on my hip
And I am laughing laughing laughing
And we are moving closer together
And my hand is on your chest
And both of your hands are on my waist
And our eyes keep meeting
And it’s just a moment in time
And it’s so precious and delicious
That I fall for it every time
Never regretting for a moment
The decision to acknowledge
That spark between us
Until we have used all the necessary words
And our lips finally meet
In a rush of adrenaline and craving
And it’s just a moment in time.

The shape of your hands
The outline of your nose
That particular way that your  body moves
The way we see each other across the room
The way you lean against a railing
And I see the sun hit your hair
And we walk side by side
And keep step with each other
And it’s just a moment in time
That is so precious and delicious
That we decided
To keep it and hold it between us
In our hands
So that it grows and becomes a new moment
So that we don’t need to let go
Gasping and craving and laughing
And it’s just a moment in time
This time, we just don’t let go.
